Keep Learning ~ kim curran San Diego Photographer

A few years back, I joined with writer Michelle Zive for a "how to take better portraits" article for San Diego Family Magazine. See it here for some simple tips that will get you taking better pictures right now.

I found this sidewalk painting in my neighborhood, thought I'd share it with you.

I HEART Faces- kim curran photography

I heart faces is a website that has weekly photography contests and promotes photographers to the world & each other.
Typically all contest entries are required to include a human face. This week the contest is a bit different. The theme is “Raise Your Hands!” I thought I would enter this art I did with my daughter's school to help raise funds for their art department. This is my very first time entering a "I heart faces" contest, hope I did it right....wish me luck.

Inspire...Be Inspired - Kim Curran

Inspire, be inspired.............that's kind of my unofficial mantra. Do you have a mantra? You can use mine, if you like, until you find your own. Lately I've been inspired to create Photography with Typography, that's what I'm calling it for now although I don't really like that title.
What do you think? Is there one that speaks to you? You may take it if you want. Put it on your blog or on your face book page. Just please link it back to this post & leave me a comment or shoot me an e-mail so I can see where you put it & how you used it.
Also, do you have a quote or a saying that is special to you? Maybe you would like me to create a Photography with Typography (that's just not working) just for you. Let me know. And maybe you have a suggestion as to what to call my new art.

Antoinette:

I came across this sign in my neighborhood this morning. I was compelled to photograph it. I did so in the rain. If you look closely, you can see the raindrops on my lens. Hope she calls....don't you?

The Girls Next Door - Kim Curran San Diego Photographer

These are my neighbors...well, they were. The youngest just left to join her older sister at UC Davis. Crazy, they were 5 & 7 when they moved in next door to my then boyfriend (now husband) 13 years ago. Look at them now....beauty & brains. Good job, Maureen. Good luck, girls next door. Your future is so bright.
