the Solis Family session ~ kim curran

I met with Dr. Michael Solis, his lovely wife April & their two handsome boys for their family photo session. This is my first time photographing the whole family but certainly not my first experience with them. Miguel & Julian do some modeling for Jet Set and I have done their head shots for about the last 4 years or so.   Good looking bunch, don't you think?

all in the family ~ kim curran san diego photographer

Grace contacted me in hopes of  doing a multi-generational session. Her husband's family were coming to town & wanted a portrait of the whole group. She was concerned that the number of people, kids in particular, might overwhelm me. I've known Grace for many years. She is so very kind & one of the nicest people I know. She is also an excellent mommy to her 4 young kiddos. Having photographed them previously, I had no doubt that they would be wonderful in front of the camera. Besides, I have a secret weapon...the squeaky rubber chicken! It is guaranteed to get the attention of young & old alike.
So we worked out the details. I made them carry the couch (the youngest one fell asleep on it) & this is what we got. Thank you, Grace...do you still have my chicken?

Let them eat Cake- Kim Curran san diego phototographer

Friends of Albert Einstein Academy  is a group that raises funds for my daughter's school. One of their annual events is a cake auction. To add value, I added a photo session to my cake. I was thrilled to be purchased by Stephanie Jennings, the President of FOAEA at the time. We finally got around to doing the shoot. I must say that this is one of the nicest families ever! So easy to work with. Her hubby is so pleasant & the daughter is a just a cutie-sweetheart.

As I look forward, I am sad. Cute daughter will be off to high school next year. I do not like the thought of not having Stephanie with her warm smile around doing all the good she does for all the students at AEA....makes me sad.

told you her smile was warm
